Legend Bey's Rise From Pop Warner Football To Texas Sports Heisman Nominee

I started playing football at 7 years old in Chicago, IL (Pop Warner). My big brother really inspired me to play the game of football – he started training me at 4 years old, and never took it easy on me. Growing up in a Christian single mother household of 8 in Chicago, you don’t have many assets so we would train pretty much anywhere we could; the backyard, street, park or big open fields. In Pop Warner I played for two teams in a season. I would have a game back to back on Saturdays or Sundays, and I also won offensive and defensive MVP on both teams. Eventually, God and my family decided it was time to move to Dallas, Texas (Frisco).

At 9 years old I played my 1st tackle football game in Denton, where I recorded 6 tds and 8 forced fumbles/turnovers. After my first couple of games I was noticed and invited to play for NFL stars Aqib Talib and Von Miller youth select football team in “YU” for 10u season. I then was introduced and trained by some of my favorite NFL players in Richard Sherman, Dez Bryant, Mike Evans, Marcus Peters etc.

I had a great season in YU where I was nominated for the Texas Sports Heisman, selected and participated in “The Process All-American Game”, Dallas All-Stars. I also recorded over 35 tds and 18 defensive turnovers. My 11u season I continued my God given journey with a family in RSA (Real Superior Athletics) where I recorded 33 tds, 13 forced turnovers, and was nominated for Heisman again. RSA gives me hands-on NFL training by NFL trainers and NFL athletes such as Chris Harris Jr. Eventually my 12u season we formed an All-Star team in the NTX Elite Bills where I won my very first State Championship at the AT&T Stadium! My Journey Continues…

“Press Sports has helped me showcase my football journey and highlights. Press Sports is family and has helped me perform at the Top-Level.” – Legend Bey
